TSKB
has taken the first step in Environmental Banking
with the cooperation of the KFW. The Environment
Management System is vital especially in today’s
economy. Most of the financial institutions stopped
lending to companies that did not comply with the
environment rules. TSKB is once again ready for
another of its “firsts” by becoming
the first Environmental Bank.
The aim of the project is to reduce industrial pollution
by providing financial support to industrial firms
and organized industrial zones. The project also supports
the finance sector by forming financial instruments
for industrial environment investments.
Community
TSKB
was one of the financial supporters of the 2nd International
Dr. Trawinski Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, organized
by TESYEV and BESF. The tournament took place between
September 25-29, with the participation of Turkish,
Cypriot, Israeli and Bosnian teams. The tournament
is being held in memory of the German scientist and
athlete Trawinski, who lost his life in 1999 earthquake
in Turkey.

TSKB's
library constitutes one of its most significant
cultural assets with 10,000 books, 250 periodicals
and a wide microfiche archive bearing 600 index
titles. TSKB Library is open to public between
13.30-16.30 hours on every weekday.
